I'm James. After a decade as a software engineer and engineering manager, I now apply those engineering principles (clarity, decoupling, predictable failure modes, blameless postmortems) to SRE, crisis management, and incident response. Some of what I figure out becomes essays here. Some becomes working tools. Some stays in a notebook.
